Take a look at Erin’s custom graduation announcement inspired by her fun personality! 5×7, double sided These images were taken in beautiful downtown Stillwater. The fall is Sunlit’s most popular time for outdoor sessions of all kinds and for good reason! It’s a gorgeous time of the year in Stillwater, MN and the surrounding Twin Cities metro area. The leaves are changing as well as the shades in the grasses and the temperature is generally mild and the air fresh. From a photographic perspective, the sun is positioned lower in the sky, providing gorgeous, soft evening light, which is what many photographers, me included, dream of. The 2012 sessions were a blast! The locations were: The St. Croix River Boom Site, Downtown Stillwater and Aamodt’s Apple Farm. To accompany the photographic demand in the fall, I posted roughly 25 slots in 2012. They filled very fast. I have already begun composing a list of names/emails of those who wish to be notified when I open the 2013 fall mini sessions. Please send me an email if you wish to be added to the list, abbey@sunlitphotography.com or use the contact form from the home page. In addition to fall mini sessions, I also offer other sets of mini sessions throughout the entire year, generally a set or two in the winter, one in the spring and another in the summer. Sets are comprised of about 4-5 sessions at a time. Please inquire if you would like to know when the next set it planned for. Please click here to read further about mini session details. Thanks for stopping by! ~Abbey
Britta & Matt’s Stillwater EngagementLast October we landed on one of the most perfect evenings to shoot Britta & Matt’s engagement session, and it was oh so much fun! As you can see, Britta and Matt are a gorgeous pair who fall together seamlessly both photographically and in personality. They are at home in the great outdoors, so we wanted to spend the bulk of the session in more of a rustic, quiet habitat but not completely leave out a taste of the city. We began in downtown Stillwater and found some prime red vines and also enjoyed personal, favorite spots. From there, we took a stroll down at the St. Croix River Boom Site before heading up river to William O’Brien State Park to conclude our wonderful, autumn photography session. I enjoyed every moment of creating this custom, storybook engagement album for Britta & matt! I was glad they were able to assist with image narrowing since we had hundreds of images to choose from. The making of an album is a process with input from both sides. The end result is a treasured heirloom which is sure to span generations to come. The seamless spreads are mounted, coated and textured. This album’s texture is linen. I’ve added a few images of the actual sample album, so you can get an idea of what it looks like in person… though I promise you, you’d love it even more first hand! I’m becoming addicted to these! It’s hard to know how many years you may keep a print on a wall and what to do with it after, but an album is a bit easier to hold on to and showcases more images. Many couples choose to display their album face out on a shelf or on a private coffee table, so it’s always on display. These are great gift for the parents as well! Enjoy! |
