Last September we took our first camping trip up North. We began in Duluth where we actually stayed at a water park for a couple of nights before heading over to Itasca State Park where we tented it as a family for the first time. Though the weather was unseasonably cool, as low as 27’F at night, we all had a blast! I wanted to tell our family’s story in an album, and I love it so much that I’ve decided to do this with each subsequent family trip. Yes, I am biased, but these albums are beyond gorgeous! They are archival quality, flush mounted and will be treasured throughout generations.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Today is one of those “don’t go anywhere if you don’t need to go” Stillwater, MN weather days. -A perfect day to curl up in a blanket or take the kids outside for a 5 min. snow shoot! I couldn’t resist. I did have a scheduled family session for this afternoon, but unfortunately the poor roads caused it to be cancelled. I was disappointed watching the falling snow and thinking about the images that could have been captured… so I dressed my kids up in random, non-snow friendly clothes (lol, to be the kid of a photog) and marched them out the door to just have fun! 🙂 We did! The resulting images are exactly what I was after. I’m excited to print these. They make me smile! And then we ventured back out for some more fun once it stopped snowing … Lauren and Chad celebrated an intimate and gorgeous wedding on Bethel University at the historic, quaint and lovely Scandia Chapel. I had so, so much fun with these two! I have never photographed a groom as excited and nervous to put on his tie and vest. Chad was a hoot and Lauren is a perfect match! We had ample time together exploring the photographic grounds of Bethel University, and I love the resulting images. I hope to return to Bethel University and the Scandia Chapel in the future!
